THE PRACTICE
Our facilities are 5,000 sq. feet, free-standing medical centers with lab, X-ray and dispensing services available on site. We see walk-in patients as well as patients on an appointment basis. Most centers have two physicians who work together to see all the patients and provide coverage for all hours of operation. Most facilities are open 8 am to 6 pm, seven days per week. The facilities have private exam rooms, trauma bays and procedure areas. We see primary care, urgent care and occupational medicine patients. Most facilities are outpatient only but some have inpatient practices. Call is based on the number of physicians in the area.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
We seek board-certified or board-eligible physicians (FP, IM, and OCC MED) who are motivated by the desire to provide quality medical care and who want to work together as a team to contribute to the overall success of our business.
OUR OPERATION
American Family Care owns and operates medical centers throughout Alabama. The company was founded in 1982 by Dr. Bruce Irwin who is the Chief Executive Officer and Medical Director. We enjoy the independence of not being affiliated with or owned by a hospital. We employ 35 primary care and specialty physicians.
COMPENSATION
Competitive base salary and productivity incentive; excellent benefits including health/ dental insurance, vacation, 401k, paid liability insurance, and deferred compensation plan.
